Civil Surgeon Faridkot, Dr. Chander Shekhar Kakkar held a special meeting with health officials today to review the functioning of the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram-RBSK Program.

Dr. Kakkar informed that under the RBSK program, medical checkups are conducted for children from newborns up to 18 years of age. After screening, free treatment is provided in major government and private hospitals across the state for 30 identified health conditions. These include congenital defects, heart diseases, neural tube defects, congenital cataract, congenital deafness, cleft lip/palate, clubfoot and other serious ailments.
