These Panchayat elections are being called a litmus test for the 2027 Assembly elections, as their results will bring clarity to the state's political landscape. The Election Commission has begun full preparations for the Panchayat polls, and the notification is likely to be issued soon. In such a scenario, political parties are busy chalking out their strategies. The State Election Commission has also issued e-tenders for the purchase of around 1.27 lakh CRI grade ballot boxes for these three-tier Panchayat elections.
