Every effort will be made to provide permanent ownership of lands to people of the Border belt : Governor Kataria

The demand for compensation for crops through Girdawari by providing permanent ownership of lands and providing benefits of government schemes provided by the government is absolutely justified, and efforts will be made to resolve this matter by bringing it to the attention of the Chief Minister.

Punjab Governor, Gulab Chand Kataria, expressed these words while talking to the media after meeting the flood victims at the village Bare Ke in Ferozepur today. Earlier, he reached Hussainiwala Shaheedi Smarak and paid tribute to the martyrs. Governor Gulab Chand Kataria said that more than 250 flood victims have been kept safe. The governor said that they have told him that they have been farming with their elders for the last 70 years. Earlier, the Girdawari of these lands was in their name. But now, since this Girdawari is not in their name in the government records, they cannot get the benefit of any government scheme. Apart from th
