The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Amritsar, observed World Human Rights Day on 10th December 2025 with a special awareness programme conducted at Central Jail, Amritsar, led by Sh. Amardeep Singh Bains, Secretary/Civil Judge (Sr. Divn.), who addressed inmates on the significance of human rights, the constitutional protections available to every individual, and the vital role of legal aid in ensuring access to justice.
He emphasized that World Human Rights Dayserves as a global reminder of the universal principles of dignity, equality, and freedom, and highlighted the continued need to safeguard these rights in everyday life, particularly for vulnerable and marginalized groups. The underscored that true progress is achieved only when society collectively uphold
