Suriya shines in 'Retro'
Post
|May 07, 2025
RETRO is a cinematic visual feast for all Suriya and Kollywood movie fans.
-
This Karthik Subbaraj movie is a certain winner at the box office.
Made on a budget of 65 crore rupees (around R14 million), Retro is going to bring in a humongous profit to its producers, Stone Bench Creations and 2 D Entertainment. Both the production companies are owned by Subbaraj, Suriya and Jyothika, his actress-cum-producer wife.
The nearly two-hourand 50-minute movie is a non-stop full action genre that will have cinema-goers nailed to their seats.
Suriya plays Paari, an orphaned child brought up under dubious circumstances by a callous gangster, essayed by actor Joju George.
Paari grows up to become a hardened criminal like his adoptive dad, but his dad does not take him as his son and reminds him that he is nothing but an orphan. Paari lives his life with a heavy heart, and it damages him to such an extent that he does not know how to smile or laugh.
