I DO NOT encounter the POST often as there is no demand for it where I live in Johannesburg, but when I do find a copy, such as the June 3 - 7 edition, it makes for a most absorbing read.
In that edition, I noted a few important omissions in Sudesh Rajaram’s interesting piece, “Nepotism in Bollywood: fact or fiction?”, on which I would like to elaborate.
To begin with a disclaimer, I have not watched a Bollywood film made in the last 40 years or so, hence my knowledge of Hindi cinema, compared to Rajaram’s, is tenuous to say the least.
However, as an ardent cinephile growing up in Durban, I watched as many Hindi films as I did Hollywood movies in my teens and twenties.
