A country of shame
Post
|August 13, 2025
HAIL our beloved country and wail for our beloved Mzansi.
We have one of the biggest and thriving economies in Africa and world-acclaimed sportsmen and women.
The Comrades Marathon and Midmar Mile are both local events with international renown. Sadly, on the other hand, post-apartheid South Africa is a country of great shame.
We are high up in the international barometer of crime, fraud and corruption, with politicians and public officials being culprits-in-chief.
The scourge of HIV/Aids is shocking with teeming masses affected by this dreaded disease, diverse declining standards, especially in education and health care, racism and xenophobia, and gross incompetence and inefficiency in all three tiers of government.
