Daar is min tye wanneer vroue so doelgerig saamstaan soos wanneer dit vir 'n goeie doel is - en dit was beslis die geval by die jaarlikse Kankertee wat Saterdag deur Thea van Staden aangebied is.
Meer as 100 vroue het bymekaargekom om geld in te samel vir mense wat aan kanker ly. Hoewel Thea self nog nooit met kanker gediagnoseer is nie, het sy die behoefte in die gemeenskap raakgesien en besluit om betrokke te raak.
Vanjaar se gassprekers was prof. Thabe Matsebatlela, 'n kankernavorser, en Luré Delport, voorkomskonsultant en motiveringspreker.
