CDM consults on 2025/26 IDP
Polokwane Observer
|April 24, 2025
Stakeholders from non-government organisations (NGOs), community-based organisations (CBOs), youth, women, persons with disabilities (PWDs), sector departments and local municipalities in the Capricorn District gathered at the Jack Botes Hall on Friday to be consulted on Capricorn District Municipality's 2025/26 Draft Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and budget.
The session was the last of a series of consultative meetings with all the stakeholders in CDM's area of jurisdiction and sessions with traditional leaders and the business sector and academic institutions took place at Protea Landmark Hotel earlier during the week.
The local municipalities in CDM's area of jurisdiction (Polokwane, Blouberg, Lepelle-Nkumpi and Molemole) already adopted their respective IDP's to enable the district to be informed before finalising its own IDP and the process will culminate in the tabling of the CDM's final IDP/Budget during the council meeting that will take place on May 23, before the end of the 2024/25 financial year on 30 June.
