Branches provide food and animal enrichment
A Perthshire wildlife park has shared photographs of kangaroos and wallabies scratching and chewing on discarded Christmas trees.
The adorable animals were snapped as part of a new appeal by Auchingarrich Wildlife Park, which is situated near Crieff in Perth and Kinross.
Auchingarrich Wildlife Park has urged the public to bring along their Christmas trees now that the festive season is over, so long as they are free from tinsel, decorations, or any snow or glitter sprays. Those who donate will receive a free drink in the park's Dizzy Duck Cafe.
Old Christmas trees can be used by animals as food and habitats, with a grey western kangaroo, a Bennet's wallaby, and a parma wallaby at Auchingarrich Wildlife Park seen enjoying the trees in the snow.
