Statham is to play, erm, Statham

Jason Statham is taking on what should be his least challenging role to date - playing himself.

The Shirebrook-born star has signed up for the curiously-titled Jason Statham Stole My Bike, a new action-comedy from The Fall Guy director David Leitch.

The flick is scheduled to shoot this May and, according to Empire, is pitched as "a big-budget action-comedy with huge set pieces, a firmly tongue-in-cheek sense of humour, and a surprisingly lofty $80 million budget".
