John and Mandron secure win in boss's 400th game

- Colin Paterson

Second-half goals from Declan John and Mikael Mandron earned St Mirren their first Premiership win of the season in Stephen Robinson's 400th game as a boss.

The Buddies pulled clear at the Falkirk Stadium and held on in the final minutes after substitute Brian Graham netted for the hosts.

Saturday's triumph was the perfect way for Robbo to celebrate his personal milestone as his successful three-and-a-half years in charge of Saints continues.

And it sets Saints up perfectly for this Friday night's Premier Sports Cup quarterfinal with Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

Both sides were unchanged from their last outings before the international break which produced a draw for Saints against Hibernian and a Falkirk win at Aberdeen.

There was a welcome return to the Buddies bench for Conor McMenamin and he sat alongside new signing Dan Nlundulu.
