School congratulated on 'fantastic'inspection

|January 19, 2026
A Paisley primary school has been congratulated for its performance in a recent inspection - with the outcome dubbed a "fantastic result".
Elected members celebrated the “key strengths” of St James’ Primary School in Gockston Road at a meeting of Renfrewshire Council's education and children’s services policy board.
It comes after the facility was graded ‘good’ across learning, teaching and assessment as well as raising attainment and achievement in November.
Councillor Emma Rodden, board convener and an SNP representative for Johnstone North and the surrounding villages, said at the meeting: "[It's] another fantastic result, for St James.
"We are continuing on this roll of success and well done to the team, the young people and the wider school community for the achievement there in the inspection report.”
