Say bonjour to care home's fab four French graduates

A Renfrew care home is celebrating an incredible achievement after four residents successfully earned their SQA National 2 qualification in French.

The proud achievers - Frances Duffy, Robert Young, Graeme Scougall and Samantha Harkins - were surprised by the special news and presented with their certificates at a special graduation celebration held on Wednesday at Craigielea care home.

The success followed a series of 10 sessions with Lingo Flamingo, a social enterprise which brings language learning into care settings.

Sessions were delivered by tutor Julie Fallon every fortnight which gave all residents the chance to explore French vocabulary, culture and conversation in an engaging and accessible way.
