Jamaican winger just waiting for a work permit to rubber-stamp move to Paisley
St Mirren were yesterday closing in on the signing of Jamaican winger Jalmaro Calvin.
The capture of the pacey 22-year-old is expected to be confirmed with securing a work permit thought to be the holdup.
Calvin, who has represented the Reggae Boyz as well as Antigua and Barbuda on the international stage, will become the club's seventh signing when the deal with Jamaican Premier League outfit Cavalier goes through.
Boss Stephen Robinson is excited to have Calvin on board but wants to temper any expectations about the Jamaican making an instant impact.
