Ralston seniors are in the club as new group up and running

A new health and wellbeing club for seniors is now up and running in Ralston thanks to a community effort.

Ralston Seniors Club officially opened last week as it welcomed all those who helped get the initiative off the ground, with local councillors and St Mark’s Parish Church leadership the guests of honour.

‘The new organisation fills the gap left by the Ralston Roar Club after older people's charity Roar-Connections for Life withdrew funding due to financial pressure.

Now, with the support of a Renfrewshire Council grant and the dedication of volunteers, the club has been saved as a stand alone organisation that sits within the umbrella of St Mark's Parish Church.
