On-loan star thriving with first-team football at Jags
Oisin Smyth insists he wanted to be challenging in the Championship after making the move from St Mirren.
The Buddies midfielder is on loan for the rest of the season at Partick Thistle.
Smyth secured his switch — in order to play more first-team football — before the closure of the summer transfer window.
And he made his mark on Saturday by scoring the winner in the 1-0 victory over Ross County at Firhill.
Ahead of Partick’s clash with Ayr United last night, Smyth had played six times for the Jags - including against Celtic in the Premier Sports Cup.
