Declan John admits his worst free-kick strike gave him the best feeling.
Now the St Mirren wing-back is setting his sights on Hampden after orchestrating the Buddies first Premiership victory of the season.
The Welsh international scored one — with the aid of a hefty deflection — and made one for Mikael Mandron as Saints secured a 2-1 win at Falkirk on Saturday.
And the 30-year-old hopes to keep his impressive form going when the Buddies travel to Kilmarnock in the quarterfinals of the Premier Sports Cup on Friday night.
He said: “To be fair, it’s probably the worst free-kick I've ever hit! As long as it’s a goal, it doesn’t really matter how it goes in.
“I'm just happy to get a win and it was a good performance for the boys.
