Move to Cyprus was pawsome for family

Sergeant Shaun Dick, who has served with The Royal Regiment of Scotland (4 SCOTS) for 22 years, was recently posted to a British Army base in the southwest European country from Catterick Garrison in Yorkshire.

The deployment is part of a scheduled two-year rotation where 4 SCOTS are one of the resident infantry battalions.

But Shaun couldn't make the move without the dogs who are a massive part of his life. So, along with his wife Danni, Dennis the Border Terrier, Sansa the Cocker Spaniel and Billy the Yorkshire Terrier made the journey to Cyprus.

The trio of pooches were packed up and carefully transported to the Mediterranean to begin their new life in the sea, sun - and a whole lot of sand.

Shaun explained: "Dennis was our first dog. He was actually a wedding gift for Danni and has been with us through everything.
