Mod Weekender full of stylish sets

February 13, 2026

Mod culture originated in London during the late 1950s via a group of very stylish and wealthy young men who held a double passion for both fashion and modern jazz.

By the mid-60s, Mods had become synonymous with fashion, music, individuality, transport, drug use and antisocial behaviour.

The Mods and their counterparts were the first post war generation to reach their teenage years without suffering the combined misery of national service or austerity, enjoying a social, financial and creative freedom that their peers had never seen.

There has been a huge revival of late, and Paisley is at the heart of today’s Mod scene, boasting live Mod music at all the local venues and festivals such as ModStuff, March of the Mods, Mod-Day and now The Bungalow have another one for the diary - The Bungalow Mod Weekender.

It all kicks off with Shout tonight (doors 7pm), Bits and Pieces on Saturday at 1pm, The Square Go's on Saturday at 6pm, The Go Steady on Saturday at 9pm and, to finish off the weekend, it is Restart on Sunday at 1pm.

The gigs are all free; all you need is your dancing shoes.
