Massive boost for Renfrewshire
Paisley Daily Express
|May 29, 2025
BY PAISLEY AND RENFREWSHIRE NORTH MP ALISON TAYLOR
I was delighted to learn last week of the plans by ZeroAvia to build hydrogen electric aero engines at the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District (AMIDS).
This is great news and a vote of confidence in AMIDS which will, over time, become a major hub for new high quality jobs for local people.
ZeroAvia's investment will see the creation of several hundred new jobs and provide a real boost to a more sustainable future for aviation.
Glasgow International Airport has been making important strides in this direction and, with their recent announcement of significant investments in the terminal building, I know there will be exciting career opportunities for people from across Renfrewshire and Glasgow.
As a local MP I have made it a priority to support economic growth and regeneration in my constituency. I see AMIDS and the airport as a vital drivers of that growth and opportunity.
