GP closure consultation ends next week

Renfrewshire residents have just one week left to have their say on the proposed closure of Langbank's only GP surgery.

The New Surgery, which also has a base in Kilmacolm, plans to shut the doors in Langbank in the coming months.

Councillor James MacLaren, who has spearheaded a campaign to halt the closure, is asking people to put forward their views as part of the consultation which closes on Friday, July 25.

The representative for Bishopton, Bridge of Weir and Langbank said local patients need to voice their opposition as loudly as possible and-in the greatest numbers-to get health board bosses to listen.
