Funding means Extra Time for kids

Around 300 children across Renfrewshire will benefit from a fresh funding boost for the St Mirren FC Charitable Foundation Extra Time programme.
The initiative - which is currently operational across 18 local schools - has won a share of the £5.5 million awarded to local football clubs and trusts to deliver after school provision.
The Scottish Government funding was announced by social justice secretary Shirley-Anne Somerville on a recent visit to Kirklandneuk Primary School.
The minister, together with Scottish Football Association chief executive Ian Maxwell, saw how the programme is helping parents get into and stay in work or training, or increase their working hours.
The Renfrew school is one of 18 to have benefitted from the St Mirren Foundation programme this academic term.
Ms Somerville said the scheme was supporting the Scottish Government's priorities of growing the economy and eradicating child poverty.
