Vital win for Jimmy Quigley’s side after penalty against Cumnock
Renfrew held their nerve to clinch victory after being put on the spot.
Jimmy Quigley's men edged out Cumnock 1-0 in the West of Scotland League Premier Division on Saturday.
But it was an afternoon of high drama with 'Nock having two goals disallowed in the first half at New Western Park.
'Frew, in 12th place, showed what was described as “unbelievable resolve” to hang on and were awarded a penalty which was converted by Aiden Malcolm.
Arthurlie, fresh from a first win at Auchinleck Talbot in 15 years, caused an upset as they thrashed league leaders Troon 3-0.
Goals from Ryan Sinclair, Michael MacNeil and Mark Taylor sank the Seasiders at Dunterlie.
