Council to congratulate Renfrew Football Club

Renfrewshire Council is set to pay tribute to Renfrew Football Club after they secured promotion to the West of Scotland League Premier Division, writes Jack Thomson, Local Democracy Reporter.
Two motions have been put forward to formally congratulate Jimmy Quigley’s side following a strong season which ultimately saw them finish third in the First Division.
The first to be considered at the full council meeting on Thursday has been lodged by Councillor Edward Grady, a Labour representative for Renfrew South and Gallowhill, and the party's group leader Councillor Iain McMillan.
