St Mirren were unable to capitalise on Kilmarnock's battering from the Bairns after they were frustrated by rock-bottom Livingston.

BUDDIES FORCED TO SETTLE FOR SHARE OF POINTS

Saturday was shaping up to be pivotal at the bottom of the Premiership with Saints holding a one-goal lead through Dan Nlundulu while Neil McCann's men were being routed at Falkirk.

However, Brooklyn Kabongolo grabbed an unlikely equaliser for Livi to ensure the Buddies ended the weekend only three points clear of Killie in the relegation playoff spot.

The gap between Saints and the rock-bottom Lions - who haven't won a football match in seven months but drawn 1-1 with Saints three times in that period - stayed at 10 points.

And while that is a healthy cushion to the automatic trapdoor to the Championship, this was very much two points dropped for Saints who have a record of one win in 10 games in the league this calendar year.

All eyes are now on tomorrow night's game in hand at Dundee United which represents a golden chance for Stephen Robinson's men to put more daylight between themselves and the dreaded drop zone.
