St Mirren gaffer Robinson expects tough time after tricky spell

Stephen Robinson has warned his St Mirren stars they face a “real fight” in Livingston tonight.

The Buddies are in need of a win after back-to-back Premiership defeats if the match survives a 10.30am pitch inspection this morning at Almondvale.

Livi are rock-bottom — nine points adrift of automatic safety — while Saints are 10th and five points clear of Kilmarnock in the relegation playoff spot.

And Robbo is taking nothing for granted in West Lothian following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over David Martindale's side last month.

He said: “We didn’t [take Livingston lightly] in the last game. I thought we totally dominated the last game.

“They have gone a lot more direct. They're a big physical side again. Davie has shown that he can do both ways.
