Bid to remove eight trees to ensure safety

A total of eight trees will be removed from a much-loved woodland in Inchinnan - if the green light is given by Renfrewshire Council.

Inchinnan Development Trust has submitted an application for works at the popular Teucheen Wood, located off Greenock Road, to the local authority.

The community-owned land is protected by a tree preservation order and designated as a site of importance for nature conservation.

A tree management report, prepared by Informed Tree Services, outlined the background of the planned maintenance project at the cherished site.

It said: "A visual inspection of all trees located within Teucheen Wood was carried out on February 18 and February 19, 2025, by Mr Chris Simpson.

"One hundred and thirty-two trees have been individually recorded.
