Richardson recalls Roy reading riot act
Jayden Richardson has lifted the lid on a dressing room verbal volley he received from Roy Keane despite a star show.
The St Mirren wing-back was on the books at Nottingham Forest in 2019 when Martin O'Neill was appointed manager with Keane his No 2.
Richardson remembers a match in which he had three goal involvements as messrs O'Neill and Keane looked on.
Trooping off the pitch at full-time, the youngster was looking forward to some plaudits after a positive performance.
But little did he know that one mistake would see him in Keane's firing line.
‘And when he put his hand up after Keane asked, ‘where's the right-back?' there was no hiding place as the Irishman let rip.
The memories came flooding back for Richardson yesterday as he prepares to face ex-boss O'Neill tonight when Celtic roll into the SMiSA Stadium.
