Act now to prevent burst pipes

Householders and businesses across Renfrewshire are being asked to ensure their water pipes are protected from cold weather this winter.

Scottish Water has said that, by acting to protect pipes now, householders can help minimise the risk of bursts, flooding and damage to their property.

The national provider is also urging Buddies to sign up to its free text alert initiative which notifies people of any potential disruption across the network, and of steps they can take to protect their homes.
