CM's 6E road safety mantra

Expressing concern over the rising road mishaps, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Monday emphasised adoption of a '6E' policy for road safety.
Addressing an event at Lok Seva Bhavan as part of the National Road Safety Month celebrations, Majhi expressed deep concern over the increasing number of road accidents in the state as well as in the country and called upon everyone to obey road safety rules.
He said the state government has given importance to the implementation of '4E' policy (Education, Enforcement, Engineering and Emergency) for road safety. Along with the implementation of these 4Es, the CM personally suggested implementation of two more Es (Environment and Evaluation), saying they would go a long way to save precious lives.
The CM suggested strict implementation of vehicle pollution rules and proper assessment of the results of the existing road safety norms. He said that various road safety programmes can be changed or improved based on this assessment.
