Bengal STF arrests 8 from Jharsuguda

The Special Task Force (STF) of the West Bengal Police, with assistance of Jharsuguda police, Monday arrested eight persons, including two prime suspects, from Jharsuguda in connection with the violence in the neighbouring state's Murshidabad district, official sources said.

The arrested prime accused were identified as Bani Israel and Sefaul Haque - sons of Ziaul Sheikh, one of the prime suspects in the murder of a father-son duo in Murshidabad's Jafrabad earlier this month. Others were identified as Saba Karim, Babul Seikh, Abdul Khalek, Roni Sk, Manrul Seikh and Ajfarul Seikh, all residents under Shamsherganj police limits in Murshidabad district of West Bengal. All were arrested from Bandhbahal area under Banharpali police limits of Jharsuguda.
Ziaul Sheikh had already been arrested.
