In a major move to honour Odi-sha’s cultural and historical heritage, the state government has decided to construct 75 new statues of eminent personalities across various districts, celebrating freedom fighters, poets, social reformers, and national leaders who have significantly contributed to the state and nation.
The decision, made Thursday under the guidance of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, will be implemented by the Odia Language, Literature and Culture department with an estimated budget of ₹14 crore, aiming for completion by the end of next year.
