Woman 'held stab victim and kept him awake' until ambulance arrived

A MUM has recalled holding an injured young man and keeping him awake while waiting for medics after a stabbing in a Nottingham underpass.

A cordon was in place around the tunnel underneath Old Farm Road near Costcutter in Top Valley after the attack at around 6.37pm on Wednesday.

Nottinghamshire Police said a man was taken to hospital with reported stab wounds.

The force said the full extent of his injuries is not yet known but are not currently believed to be life-threatening.
