PUB BACK IN BUSINESS IN TIME FOR ST GEORGE'S DAY

THE Rose of England is back in business - and the timing couldn’t be better.

Widely regarded as one of Nottingham’s finest pubs, the doors opened just in time for St George's Day celebrations.

The Grade II-listed Victorian pub, famed for its magnificent exterior - the work of renowned architect Watson Fothergill - has recently changed hands. New co-owner Richard Moore said: “The pub came up and it seemed like a good challenge to get it back open and back on the map. It would be a shame for a lovely piece of Nottingham architecture to go to waste.”
