Thug subjected his partner to horrific three-hour assault

A WOMAN told police she would rather jump out of a window and break both of her legs than return to her own home where she was being savagely beaten by her boyfriend.

During a three-hour assault, the victim was told she was going to die at the hands of Dean Kirby, who told her to move to a wet room "so all of the blood would go down the drain".

The heavily-convicted 30-year-old also butted her, kicked her in the ribs, told her he would cut off her fingers with bolt croppers and strangled her, telling her: "I want to make sure every last breath leaves your body."

And as she tried to leap from the first-floor window to escape from her Meadows address, he pulled her back by her hair to prevent her from leaving.
