12-MONTH YOUTH REFERRAL ORDER FOR BOY, 16

SHOCKING CCTV footage played at Nottingham Youth Court showed terrified shoppers running in fear as three masked teenagers, one armed with a machete, fought in Primark on a Sunday morning.
In the clip, the knife-carrying 16-year-old schoolboy is chased into the store by two other teenagers, one armed with a broom handle.
The footage then showed the 16-year-old and one of the "aggressors" fighting as one woman frantically ushers a child away from the scene and others look on or run away.
The teenager then thrusts forward with what prosecutor Mark Fielding said was an 18-inch bladed weapon and stabs the victim to the shoulder area of his upper body.
The attacker then flees up an escalator and out of the store, followed by a security guard.
Imposing a 12-month youth referral order, Roger Murfin, chairman of the bench, said: "We take into account that you were acting in self-defence but you were carrying a highly dangerous weapon and this is not the first time you have done this.
