DOUBLE TROUBLE FOR A FIRST TIME DAD OF TWINS
If you've ever wondered about the anxieties faced by middle-aged fathers, I think I can help.
For the past four days, I've been on holiday in a rental home with six men who have a veritable pick n’ mix of varying children.
If you're concerned at all, they're not strangers I met on a website, but old school friends. Now I'm home, recovering from the general level of alcohol consumed and thinking about what was on the agenda.
The idea behind the weekend was cycling, but one sprightly father had hurt his back fishing so couldn't, another had injured his posterior paddleboarding and struggled to sit comfortably on a bike seat.
The final nail in the coffin for a cycling extravaganza was three men had electric bikes, which meant a lot of hard work for those that didn’t on a weekend of supposed fun.
