HEAD coach Nuno Espirito Santo was able to have a conversation with Edu after Nottingham Forest's defeat to Everton last Saturday.

Edu was in the City Ground stands at the weekend as a guest of the Reds and watched as they lost 1-0.

A few days earlier, the former Arsenal sporting director had confirmed on Instagram he had completed his gardening leave and officially left the Gunners.

There is the potential for the Brazilian to link up with Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis in a key role across the Greek's umbrella of clubs.

But it is understood a deal has not yet been agreed and any announcement is unlikely before the summer.

Asked whether he would be comfortable working with someone such as Edu - should he take up a post within the Marinakis group - in a sporting director role, Nuno said:
