OLLIE Norburn says the Notts County project convinced him to drop down to play in League Two next season.
The midfielder arrived at Meadow Lane after spending the last eight seasons in the Championship and League One, most recently on loan with Wigan Athletic from Blackpool.
The 32-year-old signed a one-year deal and the Magpies have the option to extend it for a further season.
Although the Magpies are still searching for a new head coach, Norburn says hearing the enthusiasm of Notts’ head of football Roberto Gagliardi was enough to persuade him to make the move.
