BOSS SAYS BALANCE IS RIGHT IN HIS COACHING STAFF

- By SAM ALLEN

MARTIN Paterson has been pleased with the backroom team put in place around him at Notts County.

The arrival of a new head coach in the summer also led to a new staff lineup behind him, with the experienced Andy Edwards joining as assistant head coach and Sam Slocombe transitioning from goalkeeper to first-team coach.

Naturally, there would have been some teething issues to overcome as a result, particularly with a significant change in playing personnel over the summer, which was reflected in the team's indifferent start to the season.

However, now that things are more settled, Magpies head coach Paterson is happy with those supporting him in different ways.

"I didn't know Andy Edwards before I came here and I did know of Sam Slocombe as a player but we didn't cross paths before I came here," said Paterson.
