Nuisance flat is shut down by the authorities

A FLAT in Hyson Green has been closed after a series of complaints ranging from threats of serious violence to the exploitation of vulnerable people.

Nottingham City Council's Anti-Social Behaviour Team and Nottinghamshire Police issued a closure order on the flat in Bentinck Road, Hyson Green. It will be locked for three months.

The action was taken after several complaints were lodged against the flat’s occupant.

Staff from homeless charity Framework said the tenant had been exploiting vulnerable people, making threats of violence and causing a nuisance and disorder.
