'Kind' horror crash trio in village horror named

THREE young men who died in a village crash have been named locally.

Emergency services were called to Cotgrave Road, Tollerton, following a two-car crash at about 11pm on Thursday.

One of the drivers, a 23-year-old man, and two male passengers, aged 19 and 21, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Villagers were left in shock after the collision and floral tributes and handwritten notes have been left at the scene.

The men have been named in the community as Luke Newton, 21, Harry Archer, 23, and Pearce Haran, 19.

The landlord of The White Lion, in Bingham, paid tribute to the three men, who he said he had known for the past seven months.

He said: “It’s just devastating and so tragic to hear they are gone. They were almost like my sons - they would come in and look for me.”
