Hooked on legends of comedy

YOU know that thing at the end of Desert Island Discs, when the famous castaway is asked which of the pieces of music they've chosen would be the one they'd pick above all others, if push were to come to shove?
-
What, you don’t listen to Desert Island Discs? Are you insane?OK, well, trust me, that’s what happens.
Me, I'd pick something really long, just so my love for that piece of music wouldn't turn to sheer hatred after a year or so of repeated plays. Waterloo Sunset lasts less than 200 seconds, so despite being the greatest song of all time, I couldn't possibly make that my sole selection. The reason I mention this (yes, there is one) is that I’ve often asked myself the same question about TV.
