Former arts cafe could be converted into flats

AN empty building in Nottingham city centre could soon be given a new lease of life.

The proposals, submitted to Nottingham City Council, show the building at 17 Angel Row could be converted into apartments. The unit used to be occupied by the Chameleon Arts Café, which closed in March 2024, and Cardzone, which has also ceased trading on Angel Row.
The flats would be located on the building's upper floors, while its ground floor and basement could maintain their Class E use, meaning a new business could move in.
