Drink-drive e-scooter rider given six months to avoid prison sentence

A DRINK-DRIVING e-scooter rider who crashed head on with a car while on the wrong side of the road, has been given six months to avoid a prison sentence.

Nottingham Crown Court was told a dog walker “heard a bang” before turning around to see Kamil Rogala “flying through the air" and into the middle of the road in Hyson Green.

At the time, the 29-year-old was just four months into a suspended sentence for grievous bodily harm when he punched a man who was provoking him.

He has had his sentence deferred until December 19 to prove he can remain trouble-free, hold down his job and not drink in excess.
