Demolition cuts vandalism and nuisance gangs

A VACANT children's mental health centre which became a "magnet" for anti-social behaviour has been demolished.

Glenbrook Management Centre in Bilborough was torn down after being hit by a plague of break-ins, fires and criminal damage.

In one incident in April, a large group of young people broke in, lit fires, caused criminal damage and climbed on the roof of the building, next to Harvey Hadden Sports Village.

Police visited the homes of 14 young people involved and spoke to their parents, as well as handing out warning notices.
