Chippy proud to raise its hygiene score

A POPULAR chippy in West Bridgford which was given a zero food hygiene rating earlier this year has shared a 'proud' update after staff worked to turn round its fortunes.

Inspectors found rat droppings, a lack of soap and poor cleaning practices during a visit to Bridgford Fish Bar, in Radcliffe Road, following an inspection in July.
A member of Rushcliffe Borough Council's environmental health team also said they saw an employee serving food without wearing protective over-clothing.
