Charity shop culture is thriving, say shopkeepers
Nottingham Post
|November 12, 2025
LONG Eaton's charity shops have said their culture is “alive and thriving”, despite reduced footfall in the town centre.
-
While many small businesses and chains left the town this year, many charity shops are as busy as ever in the run-up to Christmas.
“We already have our Christmas stock on display, donations are coming in very well,” said Kirsty, who manages the British Heart Foundation charity shop in the town.
“I find the high street is quiet, but we get a lot of business regardless.
“What sets us apart is definitely our prices, and that you can't find our offering online, You have to come here.”
