£1m price tag on homes left rotting for decades

THREE houses in a village that were left to rot and deteriorate for nearly 30 years have been put on the market for £1 million.

The neglected properties on The Green in Ruddington were a prominent eyesore in the village and, after years of complaints from neighbours and ignored notices, the owner was fined £4,000 in September.

A trial at Nottingham Magistrates' Court had even heard the houses caused "significant detrimental effect".

But with a new owner, the houses are now on the market for £1 million - with estate agents saying the houses offer a "unique investment opportunity".
